The Atlanta Black Tie Club is proud to announce the appointment of Camille Baxter as the Chairman for the formal Spring and Fall Balls. In this capacity she will be responsible for the coordination of the site, food, band, decorations, and other related tasks. We are grateful for her commitment to these extremely important events. Camille Redfern Baxter is a native Atlantan and 9th generation Georgian. She graduated from Druid Hills High School and The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts. She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta International Women’s Fraternity. A faithful volunteer and club woman since college graduation, Camille is an active member and continuous volunteer at the Johns Creek Baptist Church.
Camille has two grown children, two perfect grandchildren, three grown step-children and two Jack Russell Terriers. A life-long gardener, Camille is a member of The Ladies Garden Club in Athens, GA, the oldest garden club in America.
Camille’s main interests for the past 25 years have centered around genealogy, and she is a member of several genealogical societies including The Colonial Dames of America, Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century, Daughters of the American Colonists, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of Indian Wars, Colonial and Antebellum Bench & Bar, Magna Charta Dames & Barons, Huguenot Society of South Carolina, Dames of the Court of Honor, Presidential Families of America, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Southern Dames of America, and the Georgia Salzburger Society. Camille has held chapter, state, and/or national offices in all of these societies.
Social club memberships include Peachtree Racket Club, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Junior Guild, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Club, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Guild, SAR Ladies Auxiliary, Who’s Who International, Serendipity Club, and The Atlanta Black Tie Club. Additional interests include reading, traveling, and cheering for the Georgia Bulldawgs!
