Crime thriller co-authors Donald Reichardt and Joyce Oscar will speak at an event open to the public at the Roswell Library, 115 Norcross Street, on August 8 at 2 p.m. Their appearance is part of a series of author events sponsored by the Friends of the Roswell Library.
Reichardt and Oscar, both Roswell residents, wrote the first of The Grace Gleason Files, Justice on Hold, in 2011. It was first released by Unlimited Publishing, and the authors re-issued it through CreateSpace last year. Sunstone Press of Santa Fe, NM, published their second novel in the series, The Blue Wall, in 2014. Both novels were inspired by true events.
The authors have made dozens of appearances at book clubs, libraries, bookstores, art events and university gatherings. Twice they have connected with distant audiences through Skype.
Donald Reichardt taught English and wrote for newspapers before launching a corporate career that culminated as executive director of advertising for the BellSouth Corporation. He left to freelance, writing more than 60 by-lined articles for magazines and business newspapers.
Joyce Oscar began her career in radio, joined CNN as a video journalist, and was a reporter, anchor and producer at television stations in Georgia and Tennessee. She was a reporter and anchor for top-rated WSB-TV in Atlanta for more than 20 years and received many reporting awards, including four regional Emmy nominations.
