The second of the Grace Gleason Files books has been judged a finalist in the thriller category of the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. The novel inspired by true events will be presented at the BEA Book Expo in Chicago May 11-13.
“We’re excited that our second novel received this recognition,” said co-author Donald Reichardt. “The Next Generation Indie Awards are considered the largest not-for-profit and most prestigious competition for independently published books.”
Co-author Joyce Oscar added, “This honor will enable The Blue Wall to gain exposure to thousands of Book Expo attendees including book buyers, library representatives, media, and industry professionals. Finalists are read by agents looking for material for films, international publication and other activities.”
In The Blue Wall, an Atlanta station hires Grace to star in its news segment, “Crime and Corruption.” Reporting on Metro Atlanta’s underbelly thrusts her into the murky world of suburban drug wars, a treacherous Mexican cartel and a mysterious theft ring that leaves a trail of chaos. When she gets too close to the answers, Grace finds herself the target of a murderer.
