Co-authors of The Grace Gleason Files crime novels, Donald Reichardt and Joyce Oscar, have presented a check from sales of The Blue Wall to an organization that supports first responders. The owner of Firehouse Subs in Johns Creek, GA, Rich Szabo and his father Rick, accepted the donation on behalf of the national Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. Reichardt and Oscar write books inspired by true crimes and donate to causes that represent what the books are about as sales permit.
“Although The Blue Wall is about police, not firefighters,” said Reichardt, “the foundation supports all kinds of first responders around the country.” He said the authors gave two donations from their first novel, Justice On Hold, to a Georgia-wide organization that helps domestic violence victims.
Oscar said, “Our check to Firehouse Subs wasn’t large, but we hope it won’t be the last, and we also hope it inspires others to consider this worthy organization. Several months ago we released our third book and hope to donate some sales proceeds to causes helping children.”
